My story
My name is Shane DiGiovanna, and I was born with a rare genetic skin condition called Epidermolysis Bullosa, which causes my skin to be very fragile. This means I have to endure hours of extremely painful bandaging every day. Despite my debilitating disability, I am a student at Rice University, and I am constantly striving to go where no one has gone before!
That I’ve made it as far as I have is a testament to the power of kindness, dedication, teamwork, and diversity. I founded ShaneTalks to help people learn about the importance of kindness and hard work. By showing people how to turn adversity into opportunity, ShaneTalks can help you harness the power of diversity to create a stronger, more vibrant community!
